How to program the Zenith remote to a TV?
There are remotes with and without code search buttons at the top. Let me explain how to program with the Code search key.
- Turn ON your TV manually
- Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the remote LED lights UP, and release the button
- Now, press and release the TV button, and the light will blink twice and remain lit
- Find one 3-digit Zenith remote code for your TV brand and enter it using the number keys
- Once you enter the code, the indicator light will be turned OFF
- The remote is now programmed with your TV
Remember:- If the LED indicator blinks fast, means that you have entered the wrong code. Check the code or try with another code from the list.
Check your remote by pressing some keys after pointing it towards your TV.
Program Zen remote to TV with no CODE SEARCH button
If you are using ZEN 300 or other models with there is no CODE SEARCH button, then you can follow the given instructions to set up your remote to the TV.
- Manually turn on your TV
- Press and hold the mode button (TV) until the indicator LED lights
- Find the 3-digit code from the list and enter it using the REWIND, PLAY, and FAST FORWARD buttons
- For example, if the code is 123, Press the REW button once, the PLAY button twice, and the FF button 3 times
- If the number is 0, then skip the step
- For example here, if the code is 012, then do not press the REW button, but press the Play button once, and the FF button twice
- Once you do this and the code is entered properly, the indicator light will turn OFF
- Press the Mute button to save the code
Programming without codes
Try the automatic code search method if the code is not listed. When you see the entire code list, you can see that it doesn’t provide the codes for the most popular TV brands like LG TV, Element TV, Westinghouse TV, etc. In such cases, you can use this code search method to sync the zenith remote to those TV brands.
- Turn on your device (TV)
- Press and hold the mode TV button until the indicator lights up
- Press the POWER button to initiate the search
- cycle through the codes by pressing and releasing the Channel UP (+) button continuously
- Keep pressing the CHANNEL+ button until the TV responds
- For example, if the code matched is 110, you should press such a number of times to respond to the TV back to the remote
- If skip over the code, you can press the Channel – button to get it back
- Press the Mute button to save the code, after responding to the TV
Once you identify the code for your TV brand, note it down on your mobile phone or in a book for future reference. So, you can use this code to program in the future with the direct code entry method.
