How to program Comcast Xfinity universal remote with codes?

Turn ON your TV first
Press and hold the “SETUP” button on your remote until the status LED changes from RED to GREEN.
Enter the 4-digit or 5-digit code listed below using the number buttons
If the code is entered correctly, the status LED will blink GREEN TWICE.
If the status LED blinks red, then the code was incorrect. Check the code or program with another code.

How to program an Xfinity remote without codes?

If your remote has a SETUP button, follow these instructions

Turn ON your TV
Press and hold the SETUP button until the remote’s top light switches from RED to GREEN.
Enter the code 9,9,1. The light should flash green twice.
Keep pressing CH+ until your TV turns off.
When the TV turns off, press SETUP to lock the code.
Press the TV power button on the remote. If the TV turns on, you have programmed the remote successfully.

How to reset a Xfinity remote control?

If your remote is experiencing any issues, like malfunctioning, etc. You can reset the remote and reprogram it properly.

Press and hold both the Info (i) button and the Home button (house icon) together until the remote’s status light flashes, which takes approximately 5 seconds.
To perform a factory reset, press the Power button, followed by the Last (<- arrow) button, and then the Volume Down (-) button on your remote in that order. After completing the reset, you can attempt to pair your XR16 Flex remote again.
